Today is the birthday of the United States flag. All across the country, people are celebrating this holiday mostly by ignoring it.

It's the first truly hot day of the year today. (Note: It's not "really hot." That'll come later.) Right now it looks as if it's about to begin storming pretty soon, which is OK with me, as long as it doesn't knock out the power.
