A couple of weeks ago I think I mentioned an interview I had for a job in one of our Policy and Procedure groups. I didn't get the job and that is OK. I just got some information, from the hiring manager, about the person who got it and she has some work background I don't which makes her better suited for the job.
I wanted some feedback about my interview and the manager was kind enough to meet with me (via Microsoft Teams) this morning. I now know I need to pull my thoughts together better as I come across more nervous than I actually am. One of the questions he asked me was how would I describe space to a five year old? He said he'd rate me 12 out 10 for my answer. I used words a five year old would know and brought the explanation down to level they would understand. He also have me some advice regarding salary as I try to move from a Union represented job into a management position. It was a really good talk.
