Eric from Montreal (not sure if he's rejoined or not) told me about this show and I find it utterly charming, clever and heartfelt. It's based on Gerald Durrells' memoirs of his family moving to Corfu, Greece in the 1930s. Keeley Hawes plays the mother, and the performances from the young actors playing the Durrells kids are fantastic. It's a gentle watch, if you're looking for something soothing and amusing.
"There's such a lot of different Annes in me. I sometimes think that is why I'm such a troublesome person. If I was just the one Anne it would be ever so much more comfortable, but then it wouldn't be half so interesting." -Anne of Green Gables
