Title: 11-OCT-20 Slow Cooker Day
Post by: DiveMilw on Oct 11, 2020, 10:07 AM
Thanks to a Facebook post by Aileen I was inspired to make Cabbage Roll Soup (https://www.cookingclassy.com/cabbage-roll-soup/?fbclid=IwAR3WWLO8pnHPfx7e6mcGVJ3HQ5Y51-DOO86OqWcsqvR8fVJuLtjpoSxpOe4) in the slow cooker today.  It will be ready to eat by the time I get home from work tonight.  I didn't add the sugar and eye-balled most of the measurements.  I am a little worried I overdid it on the Worcestershire sauce.   I'm sure it will be edible and most likely very tasty.   ;)

I had a Vietnamese pork and rice noodle bowl from the nearby Asian market. I think it would have been better if I had warmed it up slightly in the microwave, because the rice noodles were chewy from being cold. Maybe I need to splurge and get one of these from the nearby Vietnamese restaurant instead, where it would be made fresh instead of being put in the refrigerator case. I did try to warm it up to room temperature before eating it, but didn't completely succeed.

I still haven't done the pile of laundry on the floor. My goal is to have it done by Thursday morning.
