On Friday the NYT Theater section published a bouquet of articles celebrating SJS's upcoming birthday:
Stephen Sondheim, The Man Who Felt Too Much (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/theater/stephen-sondheim-composer.html) (Brantley)
It's Not The Music. It's Not The Lyrics. It's The Drama. (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/theater/stephen-sondheim-playwright.html) (Greene)
From South Park to Knives Out, Pop Culture Is Steeped With Sondheim (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/theater/sondheim-in-pop-culture.html)
Streisand, Corden and More on Their Favorite Sondheim Song (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/theater/favorite-sondheim-songs.html)
Where To Celebrate Sondheim in New York (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/12/theater/nyc-performances-sondheim.html%5B/url)
This last article is a listing of Sondheim-related stuff (explicitly birthday-focused or otherwise) covering the whole spring, which has obviously been disrupted by the coronavirus-safety measures that have shut down most theaters for at least the next month. But with luck, many or most of these performances will be back or get rescheduled once things return to some semblance of normality.
Just popped up in my email: livestreaming this Sunday at 8pm!

Trending at #3 on YouTube, and a full (rave) review from Brantley this morning:

Well worth the wait after a rocky start and an hourlong delay last night -- if anyone hasn't yet watched it, do so IMMEDIATELY.
That was excellent! I'm glad I caught it later, after whatever technical problems they had were edited out.

(I wonder where I can get an "I (heart) Sondheim" T-shirt.)
