This new play by Alain Boublil is opening as a "Work in progress" (that's a new one for me!)  in London in October, and as it ran in NYC for a short time in December 2014, I wonder if anybody knows anything about it?

Apparently it is:
" a New York story of differences and attraction, of two struggling artists and an unlikely meeting of minds. She is a French actress/singer. He is a Manhattan musician who has a history with Paris. Connected by music, they embark on a surreal journey through New York.

It features excerpts of songs from the classic French and American songbooks by songwriters including Jacques Brel, George and Ira Gershwin, Michel Legrand, Cole Porter and Charles Aznavour. The play made its debut in New York with Marie Zamora playing Eve, she will reprise her role for this Work In Progress production."

French and American songbook sounds good to me.

I missed it.  I had heard "okay" things about it but that means nothing...
