Just once, I'd like to take my car in and not have them find something other than what I came for needing to be fixed. Today I took it in for a routine oil change and tire rotation and they found the air filters were pretty disgusting as well. It wasn't all that expensive (compared to needing a new thermostat, which was the last thing they found when I took it in for routine maintenance), but I was at the dealer for three hours. During that time I got a lot of reading done, as well as looking over all the cars on the showroom floor and fantasizing about the Miata (but not too much, because I'd really like more cargo room than a convertible can provide).

I'm hungry.
