Cast Set for Forbidden Sondheim: Merrily We Stole A Song,
Honoring Four Decades of Spoofing Sondheim (https://www.playbill.com/article/cast-set-for-forbidden-sondheim-merrily-we-stole-a-song-honoring-4-decades-of-spoofing-sondheim)

After a two-night workshop (https://nitelifeexchange.com/forbidden-sondheim-merrily-we-stole-a-song-at-dont-tell-mama-continued-the-tradition-of-hilarity/) at Don't Tell Mama (https://www.theaterpizzazz.com/forbidden-sondheim-merrily-we-stole-a-song/) in August, Forbidden Sondheim will have a limited run (is there any other kind these days?), Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm from October 27 through November 27, at the The Green Room 42 (https://thegreenroom42.venuetix.com/show/details/U8Qf0JMVT3by8JpewIzt/1698451200000).  Tickets are $55 or $75 (including fees), varying by seat/table location.  Food and beverage service is available at all seats, but there is no required food or drink minimum.

While the show is largely a compendium of Forbidden creator Gerard Alessandrini's past Sondheim parodies (and a few others), there are some new spoofs as well -- surely including something freshly tweaked from Here We Are, I would imagine?  Groban reportedly gets roasted, to the tune of the Ballad: "the nicest guy you'll ever meet / is playing Sweeney incredibly sweet."  And Merrily We Roll Along, having inspired the revue's title, will presumably be repaid for the favor by getting knocked down down a few pegs, too.
