I have gotten it in my head that I would like to make a small turkey this year. My parents go to relatives for Thanksgiving so we don't normally make one. But I'd like to have "leftover" turkey this year. Is heading out on the afternoon before Thanksgiving to purchase a turkey brave or stupid? It's a fine line..... :-\
Turns out I was neither. The store was crowded but I timed it just right and had to wait for only one person before I could check out. The lines started to get really long while I was in line.
I also had enormous luck at Trader Joe's on my way home. The store was crowded but I could make my way down the aisles easily. Then, when I was ready to check out, the first register I came across had a customer who was paying and getting ready to leave. The force was with me this afternoon!!
I am thinking of going to Costco and picking up some toothbrushes on the last day of their sale, but am worried about the crowds there.
Tomorrow I am planning to make farfalle with turkey sausage, except it's actually chicken sausage because Sprouts didn't have any turkey sausage.

I got gas at Costco. The lines for gas were nonexistent. But the parking lot was PACKED!!!

Same here. So I didn't stop in the store, and toothbrushes will have to wait until the next time they're on sale. I did pick one up at the dentist yesterday, so hopefully that'll be good for three months.
