Title: 22-AUG-21 Hurricane Henri
Post by: DiveMilw on Aug 22, 2021, 05:21 AM
So far, so good.  Henri tracked a little bit to the east overnight.  That is good for me.  Predicted wind gusts for my area are down to 25-30 miles per hour although we are on the border of the 40 mph zone.  That is much better than the 50+ mph winds which were predicted last night.  There is some rain falling but it is not heavy nor is it steady.  I'm sure that will change in the hours ahead.

We survived!!  Mom didn't lose power at the house while I was at work.  The flights which hadn't previously canceled,  all went out although one diverted to Syracuse on its way here and went out about two hours late.  And the basement didn't flood.  It is damp down there so some water came in but I don't think we had water standing, waiting to drain.

Hooray for not losing power or not having the basement flood!

It is another hot, hazy day here.
