Sadly, this is not the day I made my first from scratch pumpkin pie. But it is the day my mother made turkey pot pie for dinner using some of the leftover turkey!
For the record, when I make the pumpkin pie only the filling will be from scratch. I will use a store bought pie crust. The filling will be a recipe from The Chew. It uses a nice shot of fresh ginger juice so it will have some zip!
