Today is such an unextraordinary day that I don't know what to call it. I am wanting some chocolate pretty badly, but I'm wanting a bagel even more, and I'm trying to cut down on white flour. I need more fiber in my diet, but they don't have a whole wheat everything bagel. (I would think that would make it even more of "everything," but I'm not sure where to make that suggestion. ;) ) Maybe I can hold out until mid-afternoon, and then I can go to Chipotle and get my standard burrito bowl with black beans and brown rice.
I did eat an apple and some Cheerios today. I don't think that cancels out a bagel with cream cheese, though.
A whole wheat everything bagel sounds like a fine invention which might get me to start eating whole wheat bagels!
I made another Hotdish-like casserole today. I didn't use a can of cream soup and I put in many many more veggies than the traditional recipe. I did add cheese and top it off with tater tots. This week I used ground turkey and added in carrots, onion, celery, frozen corn, frozen green beans, and frozen peas. Instead of soup I used a can of chicken stock, thickened with tapioca starch, some extra water because I didn't have enough sauce, lots of various spices including a healthy shake of poultry seasoning and diced, dried garlic. It think it turned out well. I must find a healthier version of tater tots because they have too much salt in them. I wouldn't even mind if they were a potato/veggie mix. I'll have to remember to check Whole Foods the next time I'm there.
