Title: 23-MAR-19 Saturday Silliness
Post by: DiveMilw on Mar 23, 2019, 06:51 AM
I don't have anything silly to report.  Hopefully there will be some silliness at work to help pass the time.
I guess today could also be Saturday Salad since I plan on putting together a nice salad at the grocery store salad bar on my way to work.

Saturday surliness (or Saturday stupidity):

I hate it when I hand money to someone and they act like it's a chore to give me change. Today I went to the post office to mail a card to Japan, which came to $1.15. I handed the clerk a $5 bill and 15¢, and she went through her stack of $1 bills and determined that she didn't have enough to give me change (there were at least 20 bills in the stack), and asked me if I had a $1 bill. I'm thinking that if I had a $1 bill, I would have given it to her, and I said, "Sorry, all I have are fives," (which was true), and she reluctantly gave me $4 in change, but said that they were short of $1 bills. Really? She said this as she was rifling through that stack. HUH?

I suppose I could have charged it. Maybe that's what she was expecting.
