In this game, you post a phrase that is an anagram of a song title from musical theatre. The only rules are that the phrase must be an exact anagram of the song title, and all words must be found in the dictionary. As usual, the person who correctly solves the anagram posts the next puzzle. Starting with:
Nine Decent Men Go Shave
Some Enchanted Evening
Bosom torment? Go lower!
Tomorrow Belongs to Me
New chair, I am fire.
"If I Were a Rich Man"
We Nine Hackneyed Trout
A Weekend in the Country
Eureka! A pushy horse burps.

I'm really stuck on this one and so, apparently, is everyone else. I even tried using an online anagram generator, but didn't spot any words that tipped me off to a song title.
@MartinG, you may have to give us a hint.

There is also an aviator of the female kind.
Funny Girl has roller skates. Though with the latest clue, I guess that's not it.

I'm sure I'll kick myself when I find out what it is, but any hints,
@MartinG?
It's sung by a character unenthusiastic about her imminent change of status.

That sounds like "Getting Married Today," but there's no "a" in there. ;)

The current anagram.

It could well be seen as a precursor to
GMT, the potential groom being a namesake of the other half of a classic double-act ;)
"The Simple Joys of Maidenhood"
Bravissimo!
Gild each vain, unclothed lad
"I Could Have Danced All Night"
Romp carefully, Steve!
(This song contains a controversial spelling, IMHO, but I've conformed with the traditional version)
Whilst I'm in the clue-giving vein, this is sung by an English character in a capital city, but not London.
Another clue,
@MartinG?
Romp carefully, Steve!
Certainly. It's actually a duet, the other participant being American, but it's not his capital city either.
