It's 98° today, with no chance of showers, and extremely bright sunshine. I think we're under a heat advisory. And I don't want to take the dog for a walk.
I guess I do have something to report today. I got awakened by the police at 2:00 this morning. Apparently Bernadette was barking and I was sleeping through it, and one of the neighbors thought that maybe something had happened to me, so they called the police to check in on me. I had had a very difficult time getting to sleep, so I was not extremely happy about getting out of bed to answer the door-- but from now on, I need to remember to go to bed with the bedroom window closed, so that the entire neighborhood doesn't hear Bernadette barking. I have no idea what she was barking at--maybe it was that same neighbor who was doing something outside at 1:45 a.m. She always barks at something instead of just randomly barking.
