Title: 21-Jun-17: The Morning After...
Post by: Gsavage14 on Jun 20, 2017, 10:58 PM
Day 2 on the new forum...
Another scorcher on the cards apparently, and the return of the Glastonbury traffic nightmare!!
But in other news, we should finally be exchanging contracts on our new house today!! 🤗

And a "Day of Rage" is planned apparently! I have these most days so I am planning an alternate "Day of Calm"; I do hope that no Ragers get in my way.

A Day of Rage? Is this a thing? In America, we just call that waking up and reading the news.

I will be raging, but only because I've got to drive for two hours to Reading WITH NO AIR CON.

Morning, all!  :)

Exactly,  that's why I have one most days - but this one is a special and is organised by that well-loved group "Movement for Justice By Any Means Necessary" - democracy at any price do I hear you say??

It's too hot to rage about anything!!

Oh, and in today's 'Stating The Bleeding Obvious', Andy Murray has announced that if he plays again like he did yesterday (going out in the first round to someone ranked 90 places below him), he doesn't think he'll win Wimbledon.

Now, I'm no tennis coach, but...

Good morning! I feel newbie all over again. I sympathize, Vera. Our AC died a couple months ago and it was brutal. We just got it fixed, but now our car sounds asthmatic so my husband never wants to run the AC. He gets overruled a lot.

Good morning everyone!

It was absolutely gorgeous yesterday, so I took a three mile walk in the middle of the day. Perfect! But then I realized that I should have slathered my bald dome with sunscreen. Today, just the top of my head is a tomato!

Good morning!

I didn't think I could post, because I was waiting for a confirmation e-mail telling me I was accepted.

So, a pretty rage-free day all in all, although I did "tut" in a very Briish way at a gaggle of American tourists who were trying to take pictures of Big Ben from the middle of the crossing by Parliament Square and who seemed oblivious to the traffic coming at them from all directions.

Damned hot again so I suspect another restless and sleepless night is on the cards.

Hope you're al keeping cool wherever you are; night night

Since I have nothing of interest to say, I will just surreptitiously sneak my first post here onto the daily thread and also express how happy I am at not having to worry that karma might ever become a thing again. It won't, will it Chris? Will it Chris?

Not a chance. Although Aileen had a lot of fun keeping her Karma at 69, other people hated it. I think we're better off not using it.

@Leighton It was very brief - had to drop some audition work off at Berkshire Maestros and then beat a hasty retreat. I will be back 'ere long and then you'll be sorry!

I look forward to it!  Incidentally, do you know Maestros well? I think some of my colleagues in the music department may be well acquainted with it!  We often hold recitals in school (we had Dame Felicity Palmer a few months back) and I think many of the Maestros often come.
