Title: 12-DEC-17 Rainy December Tuesday
Post by: DiveMilw on Dec 12, 2017, 02:22 PM
What do you expect to happen a couple of days after you get snow in December in New England?  That's right, rain!  Followed by snow tomorrow.  Sadly, I've gotten used to these weather patterns over the past few years.  They don't surprise me even though I think they are "wrong".  This sort of thing used to happen once a decade.  Now it is every year, sometimes more than once a year.

I went shopping for holiday lights and an outdoor timer.  The two stores I tried were out of outdoor timers and the lights weren't on sale.  Did you know that when outdoor holiday lights are full price they are expensive?!?   I should have gotten them the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Then 1) I would have them 2) they would have been inexpensive 3) I could have put them up when the weather was unseasonably warm.  I wonder why I didn't.  :-X

You probably need to buy outdoor lights on December 26, when I would guess they would be on sale. The problem is remembering next year that you bought them last year, and putting them somewhere where you won't forget.

If you want to borrow our 65°F weather, you're welcome to it.

This is 100% true for me.  I stopped at Target on my way home tonight and got a timer and some lights.  They aren't the lights I really want but they will do for now.  I will wait until after the 25th to get any more lights.....or possibly wait until next year.
