@mamarose - This is on the long list of shows that we're thinking about watching. How many episodes did you have to binge? Is it a self-contained miniseries or will it be continuing in the future (possibly as an anthology series with a new case every year)?

No, it's an HBO series about the mysterious disappearance of two percent of the human race and the ways in which the surviving people cope with it. It's very well made and acted. It just finished its third and last season, with (I think) 28 episodes in all. We're about halfway through.
