It's an Amazon series. Takes place in postwar Paris.
A fashion design family is trying to bring back the industry but there seems to be a secret past to this family that we are only getting little glimpses of.
The acting is wonderful, the script very good and the costumes. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! Just amazing.

Because I trust the advice of the person who recommended it ;), I watched the first episode today.
This is not normally my cup of tea, but there was enough to it (the performances, the script, the directing) that I will be watching more episodes. Normally I find historical dramas hard to follow, but I was able to keep track of all the characters easily. I especially liked the subplot with the photographer and the young woman who works in the shop that he chooses for his model, but I think that's the artist in me responding to the composition of all those photographs. :)
There are many things the artist in me loves. That was the perfect way to put it!
It's on Masterpiece via PBS so now I can DVR and watch 'em. I'm in only 20 minutes so it's too early to judge BUT I most certainly will be watching for the couture.
The fashion is amazing. Excited to hear more from you. Been a while since I watched.
The brothers loft is what inspired me to turn my upstairs into an artist loft. It is slow going. Lol.
It's not a show I would want to own but the design is beautiful, has a good (and cute) cast and there's sexiness!
I'm up to the last ep.
I really enjoyed it, but I think it was the fashions and that artist grotto the brother had that made me love it so much. Visually it was amazing.
