Here's a tutorial for adding an image to your post from a mobile device. I used an iPhone but the instructions should be similar no matter the device.

1. Use the full editor. To get to the full editor on a phone, click USER ACTIONS and then REPLY (if you are in a topic) or NEW TOPIC (if you are in a sub-forum, such Daily Threads). There are USER ACTIONS buttons toward the top of the page and toward the bottom, above the quick reply section.
You cannot view this attachment. You cannot view this attachment.
2. In the editor, click on Attachments and other options to expand it.
You cannot view this attachment.
3. Click Add files
You cannot view this attachment.
4. Click Photo Library
You cannot view this attachment.
5. Navigate to the image you want to upload, and select it.Click Done
You cannot view this attachment.
6. Click Upload. The pic might look sideways or upside down but that will be corrected when it is posted.
You cannot view this attachment.
7. Once uploaded, you can click the Insert button next to the image and it will insert code in your post. Though if you don't insert it, your attachment will still appear at the bottom. I didn't embed the last image so you can see how that works.

But us, old friend,
What's to discuss, old friend?

My mobile photos are often too big to upload. Is there a way we can have the site automatically resize the photos as we upload them?
I no longer long for the old view!

Not without a lot of trouble. I increased the limit to 10MB per attachment and 30MB per post. I have the space, particularly since there aren't a lot of members here. But I'm sure your phone can do the resizing, if not with built in features, I'm sure there's a 3rd party app that can do it.
In a few weeks I need to install the new release of the forum software. The site will need to be down for awhile when I do this.
