28 June 2020 Cover letter hell

I am writing my cover letter for the job application, and having a hard time of it after realizing that I haven't written a cover letter in 15 years. (Actually, I was having a hard time of it even before realizing that.) I'm wondering how I ever got into college. My goal is to get a first draft of this letter done today and then spend time revising it. The application is due on July 7, so I've got some time. (Fortunately--because this draft really sucks.)

Maybe, if I'm good and get the first draft done, I can treat myself to some more Chinese food. But right now, I'm trying every procrastination trick in the book to avoid working on the letter, including starting a daily thread! Laundry is next.

I'm with you, Kathy.  I detest writing cover letters.
