It was in the high 80s with a breeze today, which feels definitely cooler than the 90s (even though it's only a few degrees cooler). Today was the second day of procrastination from doing laundry, and I managed to procrastinate quite well, doing some reading and even emptying the dishwasher. I could be watching the Emmys, but I don't even know what channel they're on :-[ and I am most likely going to end up watching Ken Burns's documentary about Muhammad Ali tonight. I decided the next book I'm reading is Inside of a Dog by Alexandra Horowitz, because it's been on my shelf half-read for a long time and because I need some nonfiction. I've been reading a lot of novels in a row, and I usually like to alternate between fiction and nonfiction. It might also be nice to find out what Bernadette is thinking when she stares out the window and waits for her chance to bark.

That is some impressive procrastination, Kathy.  I think emptying the dishwasher to avoid doing laundry is a hard-core, professional level move!
I no longer long for the old view!
