Today should be close to a record high for the day. The forecast says 100 degrees F, and the record is 102 degrees. Tomorrow will be "only" 99 degrees. 

Yesterday, I was in an online meeting, and one of the questions for the group was, "what do you like the most about summer?" and I said "air conditioning," which apparently was not the right answer. If I were a different person, I'd care more about the long days and being outside and the flowers, but I don't enjoy any of those things when it's 100 degrees out. I guess I should be glad I'm not in the UK. 40 degrees C for days on end sounds worse than what we're having.

Air conditioning is the correct answer for me and many of my friends.  Even though I sometimes enjoy being outside in the warm weather, I always enjoy returning to cool, conditioned air indoors.
