Chris and I are trying to remember the names of the old board's "chairs" - the sad news thread was the "Stone Cold Bench," we believe.  What were the happy and "meh" thread titles?
I chose, and my world was shaken. So what? The choice may have been mistaken, the choosing was not.

The Simple Wooden Shaker Chair was the neutral chair.

I vaguely remember the "happy news" chair was a settee??  Chris thinks so, too.  A wicker one?

The Happy Wicker Settee sounds about right. Anybody else remember?
But us, old friend,
What's to discuss, old friend?

Yes, that is what I thought is was as well.
I no longer long for the old view!

Hmm, that sounds familiar. I think that may be it. @nulipp - If you're starting a thread, why don't you call it that?

This sounds right to me, although I thought it was only this and the Cold Stone Bench - I don't recall a neutral one. Although that may just be that I never visited it!

The Simple Wooden Shaker Chair was for news that was neither good enough to sit on the settee, nor made you feel bad enough for the Cold Stone Bench. It was for stuff that just was what it was, thus the plain choice of furniture.

It was the chair created by Pseudolus (was that his screen name?) to announce that he was dying, though we didn't understand the full implications until later. I couldn't bring myself to post in it after that, except to respond to others. I thought of it as The "Finally making it through all five stages of grief and reaching acceptance" Chair.
