18 August 2018 Lazy (or unproductive) Saturday

Depending on whether you're an optimist or a pessimist, I guess. I spent today doing a lot of nothing. I read and listened to music. I could have been doing laundry, but no. I did empty the dishwasher, which is something, and the book I'm reading is really good, which is something I haven't been able to say for at least the last few books.

I can always do laundry tomorrow.

Today I worked (I agreed to be the Supervisor at the gate this morning.  Normally there are two Sups but for some reason on Friday and Saturday - days that really could use 2 - there is only one who is on vacation this week and wasn't covered.)  Things didn't go 100% smoothly due to circumstances beyond our station's control but I'd say it was a good morning overall.  Then I came home and took a nap.  Then I went to usher for the Lion King tour.  I was out in the lobby tonight so I couldn't see the show in the theater.  But I was able to watch it on the monitor in the lobby and pull up a chair in front of it.  It was a great seat!  I even got some free popcorn after intermission because they gave some of the volunteers the popcorn that didn't sell.  Today was a two show day for the cast and I think it was a better performance than I saw last Sunday when I was in the theater.  Plus, it was great to be able to see the actors prepare for their entrances down the aisles at various points in the show.
