As mentioned yesterday, today is National Kale Day--a day I will not be celebrating.

It is also the day that Sputnik I was launched, and on which the last scene of Merrily takes place.

In honor of National Kale Day I will try to make some veggie soup tonight and include the excess kale I didn't use the other night.  Perhaps this will be enough motivation for me to make the soup I've been meaning to make for the past couple of days.

UPDATE - I started doing all sorts of little things I've been putting off and completely forgot about making the soup.  Good thing there is always tomorrow...
