I've had all kinds of time to think today because I was awakened at who-knows-what-time in the morning by my carbon monoxide detector telling me that it was at the end of its life. It was extremely thoughtful of the device to alert me with a series of beeps, and then not shut up about it. I resorted to putting it in the refrigerator. I wonder if someone takes these devices for recycling.
