Happy Thursday to everyone except those to whom it's already Friday.

Happy birthday to Paul Giamatti and Harvey Fierstein!

You guys.  They're filming right outside my window.  Well, across the park that's right outside my window.  In the sunset, on the park terrace overlooking the GWB.  I could literally see them from my window if the trees weren't verdant, but they are, and the park is all lush and it's pretty and it's 75º out.

It's so freakin' perfect.

Plus, they lucked into a spectacular sunset this evening, with perfect striations of cloud above, all pink and blue and lavender.

I actually wandered over on the way home from work on the main location (let's just say my four-minute commute doesn't make all this any less cool, to put it mildly), to see what they were up to.  Needless to say, that whole end of the park is pretty much cordoned off, and while my paint clothes and knowing (ha!) demeanor got me considerably closer than most, the terrace itself is obviously strictly off-limits to all but the immediately-relevant cast and crew: it's just not all that big a space for what looks to be a sizable number.  Barring actually being up there, there wasn't really much to see, but still.

Call me pathetic, but this job is just thrilling me to an unreasonable degree.
