I hate dealing with health insurance. Last month I had an issue with my insurance that led to my having to reschedule a procedure, and now I'm having problems getting a referral to the orthopedic surgeon I was told to follow up with yesterday (see yesterday's daily thread for a summary of what happened). The specialist said I should have gotten a referral from the ER, but I didn't, so I now need to make an appointment with my primary care physician to get a referral to the specialist. The only time that's available is in the middle of the day tomorrow, when I have to make myself free. Fortunately, it can be done through telehealth, so I'm hoping I can take a break in the middle of the day to have the appointment. All of this so I can follow up with a doctor who has already seen my x-rays.

I guess the good news is that I am not going to run out of news to share on a daily thread for a while.

I hope your foot is feeling better, Kathy, as you wait to see the specialist.
I no longer long for the old view!
