7 August 2021 Stinky, smoky Saturday

Right now our air quality is so bad due to the wildfire smoke that I can see the haze in the air, and it's not just covering the mountains. It smells like smoke also. Our local news reported that we officially had the worst air quality of anywhere in the world today. We're being told to limit time outdoors (something I couldn't do because I needed to take someone for a walk) and not open the windows.

But I got to watch the team show jumping final today, and I'm happy about that. The U.S. took silver in a jump-off. I know that NBC was only showing it because of Jessica Springsteen, but that's OK. May she have a long and illustrious Olympic career if it means I get to see what I like on TV.
