One of our streets has been put on a "diet".  The city has brought it down from two lanes in each direction to one lane with a center turning lane.  This also allows for a bike lane on each side.  It's a six month trial to see if it helps with traffic congestion.  So far I haven't noticed much of a difference so I think it is working.

If the oppressive heat would go away I'd be a very happy boy!
I no longer long for the old view!

Today is National Dog Day. We did not celebrate it, even though we took three walks today, because I didn't realize it was National Dog Day until about half an hour ago. I still have two and a half hours to do something, but I think that all I'm going to do is go to bed and possibly snuggle and get my feet licked.

If there's another -- never mind a better -- way to celebrate National Dog Day, I'm not aware of it.   :-* :dog:
