It's slightly cooler today, with high temps in the high 80s instead of low 90s. There is also a supposed chance of showers. I'll take whatever I can get!

I took a friend out to brunch for her birthday today only to find out that the place we went (Bonefish Grill) no longer offers weekend brunch. It's just regular lunch now, without the brunch specials such as shrimp and grits, or the bottomless mimosas for a bargain price. So we had normal lunch. It was very good, although I had been looking forward to their shrimp and grits. 

I am listening to the complete Alan Lomax Library of Congress recordings of Jelly Roll Morton, which takes some concentration to listen to. It's not something I can have on in the background while reading. There are a total of eight discs, of which I've listened to three. Maybe it's the kind of thing I can listen to while going on a walk...
