Someone in this house (not me) got into the kitchen trash last night and ate some things that shouldn't have been eaten, but that same someone seems to be OK in every respect physically, so I'm not calling the vet. She tried very hard, knocking over some boxes that were in front of the trash can, gnawing on the trash bag and finally knocking the top off the trash can.

I got a tax refund in the mail today! The only thing is that I'm not scheduled to receive any kind of a tax refund for at least the next year, either from the state or the feds. It looks very official and like a legitimate governmental check, with all the security features present.

I sent an e-mail to my accountant asking what I should do with the check and why I might have received it. I could definitely use the money, but I have a suspicion that the State of Colorado is wrong.
