27 June 2022 Beautiful Monday

This past weekend was lovely, with high temperatures in the 70s (Saturday) and mid-60s (Sunday). Today isn't quite as nice, because it's about 15 degrees warmer, but it's still cooler than it normally is for this time of year, so I'm calling it "beautiful."

I don't have a lot going on today. I am listening to Felix Mendelssohn because about ten years ago, I bought the 99 Most Essential Mendelssohn Masterpieces from Amazon for something like $5, and then I promptly forgot I had it, so I'm rediscovering lots of works. Yesterday I listened to a couple of organ sonatas and some string symphonies. Today I'm listening to "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Songs Without Words." Mendelssohn is my favorite classical composer.
