Today I - accompanying my parents - toured a 4 stage Lifecare facility.  (I think I got that correct.....more or less.)   It is a retirement/elder care community with Independent Living, Assisted Living, ReHab, and Skilled Nursing & Memory Care all on the same campus.  We toured the campus and saw a model home.  We ate in the dinning room.  The plan includes breakfast and choice of lunch or dinner.  (Lunch & dinner are the same menu but you choose when you'd like to eat.)  The independent living buildings are nice and will be very nice when planned renovations are finished this year.  They provide a lot of services for the sizable monthly fees.  I was touring so my parents could get another viewpoint but it was eye opening for me as I am quickly approaching the age when I need to be seriously planning my post retirement life.
