21 OCT 18 Sunday is Almost Over

It's just before 7 pm here in Cairns. That's not too late but I think I will be catching a 5 a.m. flight in the morning. That will cut my night short. I could chance getting on a 10;30 flight but my advice when flying standby is always to take the earliest flight. Also the 5 o'clock flight is wide open whereas the later flights are pretty full. So i think my night will consist of refueling the rental car and going out for dinner and packing up my stuff.

Can I ask a question? Why Cairns when you had the whole of Australia to visit?

Can I ask a question? Why Cairns when you had the whole of Australia to visit?

The Great Barrier Reef is the short answer. Also, the rainforests. I'm spending four days in Sydney as well. Then I fly home.
I hope I can "stand" sitting for that long. On the way out I had a 12 hour layover before the long flight. Going back I'll have a for hour layover and then a 1.5 hour layover as I change planes in LAX and Chicago/ORD.
