It is Wednesday, june 5 here, although I think it's already Thursday in Turkey. Oh, well.

Today is a beautiful day, neither too hot nor too cold, and I don't think there's any rain in sight. It is the kind of day where I can be quite comfortable with a window open and no air conditioning on. It's not going to last, but it's nice while it's here.

Temps are forecast to be in the 80s this week so I put the a/c unit in the window before I went to work today.  It is only supposed to cool down into the high 60s overnight and I wanted to make sure I'd be able to sleep since I have to get up "early" in the morning.  This was a good move.  The temperature isn't too bad but it is a little muggy from the light rain we had earlier this evening.  I feel accomplished since I was able to wait until June before resorting to the air-conditioning.  Last year I gave in and installed it in May.  That was one hot summer.  I'm hoping this summer will not be quite as hot so I can do more outside.
