Today marks day two of snow blowing and shoveling.  We had a winter storm move in late Sunday night/early Monday morning.  The storm has moved on but I've got to clean up the snow that fell overnight.  I'm very glad I went out twice yesterday to clear the driveway and sidewalks.  Aside from the snow thrown onto the sidewalk and foot of the drive by the snowplows I don't have much to do.  Most of it is done but the snow is heavier today than yesterday (we were supposed to get some rain overnight) so the batteries on the electric snow blower drained before I could finish.  They are recharging now and I'll finish the driveway later today.

That is basically my plan for the day other than some cooking.  I'm still on vacation until Friday and I plan on taking advantage of that.   :)

I just came back from the doctor, and I have new bone growth (aka "calcification") in my foot, which is good news! There is a good possibility it will heal on its own, although I could have arthritis in the joints when I get older. I was also told I can wean myself off the crutches and start putting weight on the foot while it's in the boot. Still have to wear the boot, though, so no driving. I go back in four weeks to get more x-rays taken.

In contrast to the rest of the country, today is extraordinarily nice here, with temps in the mid-60s and bright sunshine.

Great to hear you got some good news from the doctor, Kathy.  It seems like a long recovery road but you'll be healed in no time!
