This weekend, it's supposed to be close to record warmth, and right now it's 78°F. I think we are going to go for a walk around the block while it's this warm.

I got my DNA test in the mail yesterday, and now I need to figure out how to swab Bernadette under the tongue for 30 seconds. I think that's asking something nearly impossible. The DNA test manufacturer suggests holding a piece of food nearby to stimulate salivation, and I'm thinking that's an idea that sounds wonderful in theory, but I'm not sure how I'm going to hold a piece of food in front of a dog while simultaneously trying to maneuver a swab inside the same dog's mouth with only two hands. For 30 seconds. So it may be a while before I find out what kind of dog I have.
