I'm home for the weekend and have traded the cold, rain, and snow of Dallas for the snow, rain, freezing rain, sleet, and wind of CT.  It looks like the precipitation might be done for the day.

The highways were bad enough that I discontinued a trip to get some prepared meals to bring back to Texas.  I got on the highway and there was an accident just after the on-ramp.  Then I passed another set of cars with a squad car.  Then one more car which was pulled over on the side of the highway.  Since I still had to travel through Hartford on a stretch of highway which always has an accident during bad weather I decided not to risk it.  I got some frozen meals from a place in town. They aren't as healthy as those prepared by the place I didn't go to but I can hit the salad bar at work to up my veggie intake.
I no longer long for the old view!

It was sunny and somewhat warm here, in contrast. But still a slushy Saturday because there was a lot of melting going on. Nice walking weather.
