Today is beautiful because the high temperature is going to be in the lower 80s. In fact, it's been beautiful for several days, typically with rain coming in sometime during the afternoon. Yesterday, we had a torrent come in at about 4:15 pm, which was when I was trying to watch a movie and already had one of the volume settings (the easiest one to control) up to maximum. I could see the rain pelting my upstairs window with enormous drops. It lasted maybe ten minutes before it let up.

It's week two of the latest PBS pledge drive. I really should send them some money.
