Joel Grey's production returns for seven weeks, November 13 through January 1, this time at New World Stages:

Even in a very busy and exciting fall season, this return engagement would be high on my list of must-see recommendations to anyone who didn't catch it in the Before Times.  I very nearly missed it myself back then, finally getting a ticket in January 2020 just before it closed on West 42nd St (after two years of extensions, transfers, and more extensions) -- and it was easily the best Fiddler I've ever seen onstage: physically spartan (which in this context turns out to be an asset, not a liability), musically lush and dramatically thrilling, with sensitive direction by Mr. Grey, musical staging by Staś Kmieć showcasing much of the original Robbins choreography, and a flawless cast led by Steven Skybell.
