it is cold nearly everywhere in the US today.  it was warm when I arrived in VT this afternoon but it quickly cooled down.  The rain turned to snow and wet roads turned into icy roads.  There was an advisory to stay off the roads after 4pm due to the bad driving conditions.  (there are also very strong winds). I was going to stay at my brother's house but they lost power this morning from the 70 mph winds which came through.  Instead i am at a hotel because I needed to do a little work today.  I still need to do that work and I really, truly will get it done before I go back to work next week.  I swear.
