11-JUL-18 Rushing Around with Nowhere to Go

I left a few minutes late for work this morning because I stopped to water some plants which looked very wilted for 4 AM.  Then I ran into traffic on the highway because the overnight construction crews were picking up the safety barrels.  The result was that I wasn't confident that I'd make it to work by 5 AM if I parked my car in the employee lot and took the shuttle to the terminal.  So, I parked in the lot right next to the terminal and clocked in on time.  Around 7:30 one of my co-workers mentioned that I was working until 2:30 PM today.  I said that I was covering Lisa's line this week so I was off at 1:30 PM.  She then reminded me that Lisa has two days a week when her schedule is 5:00-2:30.  Not only was I not late (and didn't need to park in a lot where I had to pay) but I had started work an hour early.      Luckily, my manager allowed me to adjust my shift for today to match what I thought I had to work.  The good news is that tomorrow I can sleep in until 4 AM!!!!!!
