Tonight we had a work going away party for one of our Shift Managers.  He will be greatly missed but is deservedly moving on to better things with a promotion in Boston.  It was wonderful to see a LOT of my co-workers outside of work.  It is sad that it takes an occasion like this to get us together but when you are basically a 24/7 operation it is tricky and difficult to have a compelling reason for people to attend either just after work or at their bedtime.  Sometimes I long for a Monday-Friday, 9-5 job.
