I believe there is some sort of sporting event taking place later today.

I think I will use that time to catch up on my reading, or to get a head start on my income tax.

The big event for me this evening was ushering for the tour of "Cats".  I was able to see most of the show.  I had to wait to go into the theater until after the first 15 minutes of the show.  Despite loving the cast recording back when it came out (it came out right before I had to do an oral book report. I liked it so much that I switched my book to "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" and played songs from the album during the report.) but I never saw the show.  I've barely even seen the recording of the original show.  I tried watching the DVD or VHS of it 10-15 years back and I couldn't watch it.  It was very much a product of it's time and I didn't think it had aged well.  So I had some trepidation heading into tonight.  I was very pleasantly surprised to find out I liked it.  Many of the songs a still great The dancers were fantastic.  The cast was in great voice.  Some of the lighting choices were really odd but overall I had a very nice night at the theater.  It brought back the old days when I dreamed of being a "triple threat".  LOL
