Today I went to see my accountant to get my income tax done. I am getting a federal refund of $5,000, all of which is going back to the government to pay my 2019 estimated tax. I am getting a $1,500 refund from the state, all of which is going back to the state to pay estimated tax. This is not one of the more fun ways to spend a tax refund, but I thought I would appreciate it much more later. Especially around April 15, June 15, September 15 and January 15.

That has been the excitement in my day today!
