I was thinking of Martin the other day as I was getting ready to leave my apartment for our first day of tech: amid some beautiful warm weather recently, the temperature that day had dipped to a brisk and windy spring chill, so I was wearing the lovely purple scarf he gave me as part of my Secret Sondheim package a few months ago (and which has garnered several compliments!).

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts and wishes. We were in the middle of France for a very cold and wet weekend, and the hotel wi-fi was predictably haphazard. I'm finally catching up with online stuff and delighted to find a personalised daily. You're truly lovely people whom I'm proud to number among my friends.
