24-JUL-19 Wacky Wed....a little bit late

I'm OKing starting this thread late because I got held over at work for a really weird reason.   I won't go into it because it is only weird if you work in the industry.  Well, here's the bare bones:  someone had an issue when meeting a plane because one of our jetbridges has been acting up for weeks and it never got fixed.  Management said she can work her shift but she can't meet planes until she's retrained even though this accident was caused by broken equipment and not her lack of ability.  I had to stay just over an hour past my shift and meet the last flight for her.  This will continue all week, which really, really annoys me specifically on Friday night because I'm going to see a matinee in NYC on Saturday.  (King Kong and then Road Show in the evening)  I don't think they should have bared her from meeting flights.  The situation is distinctly odd and I'm suffering because of it.  Poor me.      At least I'll be getting some more overtime pay this week.
